Owner
Bien Figueroa
Figueroa spent 1986 through 1991 in the St. Louis Cardinals minor league affiliates before making his major league debut on May 17, 1992. His last MLB appearance was on October 4, 1992, and spent 1993 and 1994 in the minor leagues with the Cardinals and Montreal Expos organizations. Coach Figeuroa would later go on to manage in the minor leagues with the Bluefield Orioles, Delmarva Shorebirds, Frederick Keys, Bowie Baysox, and the Connecticut Defenders.

Coach Taveras has over 12 years of travel ball coaching experience and has coached at the high school level for over 15 years.

Pablo D. Santiago
Pablo D. Santiago, from Morovis Puerto Rico, grew up in the South End of Boston. Honorably retired in 2013 as a Bronze Star senior enlisted, after 22years in the Army (1SG/E8), and with numerous accolades. Currently employed by OCPS as a transportation area manager and as seasonal overseas contractor. Holds an associate degree in Leadership Supervision, a bachelor’s degree in Management, and a certificate from Sports Management Worldwide in Baseball GM and Scouting. Married for over 35 years to Juanita “Jenny” Santiago and they have three daughters and three grandchildren. Currently living in Minneola Florida. Mr. Santiago has been around baseball his entire life and played on travel teams, High School, college, and a short stance with the Milwaukee brewers minor league affiliate and with the park League in Boston. Thereafter joining the Military. Since retiring, he has had the pleasure to be an assistant coach at a high school level. Previously coaching a 14 and under travel ball teams and serving as an independent scout as well. In addition, currently volunteering to train athletes of all ages in the area, where he specializes in fundamental baseball techniques and physical conditioning. Scouting, coaching, training, and developing baseball players are Pablo’s passions, to learn more don’t hesitate to contact him.

Joey Schietecatte
Coach Joey a Central Florida native for 20 years was a 3 year Varsity Letterman at Freedom High School in Orlando. During his career at Freedom he played travel ball for Coach Jose Taveras at Premier Baseball Academy located in Orlando, Florida. After he graduated from High School in 2016 Joey continued his baseball career at Community College of Baltimore County Catonsville as a relief pitcher. Coach Joey moved back to the Central Florida area in 2017 and has been helping pitchers since 2018. During the pandemic Coach Joey was an assistant coach for the South Lake Legends before coming over to the Florida Sluggers in the Spring of 2022 helping both in the Youth and High School divisions. During the 2022-2023 school year Coach Joey was the Varsity Pitching Coach at East Ridge High School and is currently coaching at Lake Minneola High School.
